Dayira means circle in Arabic. This circle echoes the Cyr wheel, a circular metal object that moves in space, partnering the performers and opening up different modes of play. Dayira is a circle that gathers, unites and in which new relationships are written: playful, sensitive and imbued with the personality of each individual. In this circle, we dance, we play side by side, we evolve different and so close at the same time, we listen to each other and we answer each other looking for the right harmony. Dayira draws a perimeter that constrains but does not enclose. It's a circle that inspires exploration of the power of the collective in its curves and spirals, and of possible escapes. Dayira is a creation for seven performers using a language on the border between dance and circus, exploring cultural diversity in a movement that lingers on the present, here and now.
